The Future of Democracy
january 6 is the date congress will certify the 2004 presidential election. the congressional black caucus will challenge this recent fraudulent election. it takes one senator to support that challenge. in 2000 not one senator spoke out about over 1.9 million people of color and other minorities being denied the right to vote. in 2004 the fraud of a free election was not as obvious although in some places you could push a button for kerry and bush would register.
i sent the following to our two senators from new york. i sent them a similar message prior to the 2000 certification. i didn't need to see moore's farenheit 911 to know what was happening here. i have an opportunity to express myself once again and my senators now have an opportunity to object with conviction rather than consent in silence to another fraudulent election in a country that claims to be a beacon for democracy around the world.
in yova's world - if it isn't too late and if you're so inclined you have an opportunity to do the same. the opportunity may never present itself again. be the moment
Tomorrow is a day which will provide you with an opportunity to support freedom and democracy here at home by lending your support to the Congressional Black Caucus challenge to the 2004 presidential election. Our Declaration of Independence states that the legitimacy of government depends on the consent of the governed.
Tomorrow is a day in which you can betray the American Revolution with your silent acquiescence or become a part of that revolution in pursuit of democracy for those who follow us in this lifetime.
Tomorrow is a day which provides you that rare opportunity of righting a wrong that occurred in 2000. The future of democracy in this country will be determined by your silence or your courage to speak truth to power.
