2 LITTLE GIRLS, 1 PUPPY AND THE NRA

It’s quiet on Yova’s Beach tonight but man is it ever cold. The weather man tells me it’s 3 above and then he says it feels like 8 below. I know there’s a formula where one takes the real temperature, factors in the wind-chill and comes up with a number that as far as I know is always lower than the existing temperature.

So much for what it feels like outside because inside it feels like a profound state of suffering and I really don’t care how cold it is outside because inside I’ve got to focus on weathering this storm while listening to Dylan singing “…my senses have been stripped and there ain’t no place I’m goin’ to….” remembering that……

Somewhere north of here about a week before Christmas 2008 a 19 year old boy lived with his girlfriend and when his/her/their 3 month old puppy had “an accident” on the floor that young man exercised his 2nd Amendment rights by getting his rifle out and shooting the puppy in the head killing it instantly. It was no accident on his part but it was an accident on the puppy’s part.

That’s some bad karma there – coming back as a puppy giving that unconditional love that animals give to their humans, frisky at this stage in your existence and the first time you have an accident you basically get assassinated Hope the puppy learned its lesson. As for the human perhaps try to show as much compassion as possible for his karma will not be as kind or fortuitous as the puppy’s. It never is for those who take life for whatever reason or excuse.

Speaking of bad karma - in California a 46 year old man exercised his 2nd Amendment rights by dressing up as Santa Claus on Christmas Day and shooting an 8 year old girl who opened the door and found out enough to let Virginia know there might be a Santa Claus but in today’s “Age of Ignorance” Santa can conceal that deadly weapon which will do nothing more and nothing less than destroy life – and use it with or without a thought but rarely without a rationalization

Locally just the other day a 16 year old boy was found guilty of killing a 10 year girl. Since he had access to a “community gun” obviously he had the right to exercise his 2nd Amendment rights which he did when he admitted that he thought someone else was exercising his 2nd Amendment rights by shooting at him so he shot a gun that ended the life of a 10 year old girl whose face reflected a life not yet broken by one’s socio/economic/political environment.

The NRA would claim we all have the right to “bear arms” and “any arms” at that even those whose judgment is seriously impaired because this “right to bear arms” should not be regulated, should not be infringed or tampered with because “it’s not guns that kill, it’s people that kill” while two little girls and a puppy know all too well it’s people with guns that kill.
