IGNORANCE IS BLISS

In a late afternoon email a friend sends me a link proving his message is not a cheap trick to ruin my appetite or increase my blood pressure rather it confirms my suspicions that Fox News has nothing to do with news and everything to do with fair and balanced bullshit when it hired Sarah Palin.

The promo for the recent book “Game Change” points out that among other things Sarah didn’t know there was a North Korea and a South Korea, didn’t know what the Federal Reserve was, continued to believe that it was Sadam Hussein who invaded us on 9/11, had to be briefed on U.S. history due to an near absolute ignorance of the subject and had an compelling aversion to the truth thus making her a perfect fit for Faux News.

Why she didn’t seem uncomfortable or nervous given this set of circumstances was explained by her as “this was part of god’s plan for her”. That she’ll be working for Fox News makes absolute sense when one realizes that it’s probably part of “god’s plan”, the same plan she claimed existed which placed her a heart beat away from the presidency and now “god’s plan” provides Sarah Palin with the perfect forum to provide political commentary and analysis to Fox viewers and her adoring fans proving once again that ignorance is indeed bliss.
