connecting the dots of suffering

just saw all the devastation, death, and destruction in the gulf - millions without electricity, dead bodies floating downstream, peoples homes and every sentimental value within gone forever, no clean water, no food, only the clothing on their backs, no air conditioner, no jobs, no income, the shock of an uncertain future - all the result of a natural disaster.

who would wish such suffering on anyone?

yet for over two years as many iraqi's or more have had no electricity, no clean water, homes gone forever, more dead bodies, no jobs, no income, no future - all the result of war.

while we can't do much about natural disaster shouldn't we do something about man made disasters? afterall, who would wish such suffering on anyone?
