THREE PEOPLE AMONG THE WORLD'S POPULATION

As of 02/07/09 at 02:36 GMT (EST+5) the U.S. Census Bureau projected the world population to be 6,758,865.027 people increasing their demand for dwindling resources.

This is a story about three of the nearly seven billion people that cross each other’s paths in this lifetime. One was Sara Kuszak - a well bred 35 year old attractive full of life woman who was 5 months pregnant and a month away from her wedding day in the Virgin Islands.

Another was Eliezer Marquez a 36 year old man, father of five children with his wife and two other children with another woman. An irresponsible breeder you get the picture. Machismo. When he was 19 his mother, Ines Navedo, the third person among billions of others was convicted of killing two of his young siblings aged 2 and 3 by slitting their throats.

They met on Wednesday this week for the first time in the coastal town of Fajardo, Puerto Rico when Sara was jogging alone and Marquez stopped his car, opened the trunk, waited for Sara to pass then grabbed her, threw her in the trunk, raped her and killed her by slashing her throat.

The wedding is off. The baby shower will never happen. Sometimes true love endures the test of time, sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes like this time for Sara it’s cut short like a shooting star. As for Marquez he leaves behind seven fatherless children who will have to fend for themselves and two more single mothers while he spends the rest of his life in a cage for committing a senseless act that caused so much suffering long before he even opened the trunk of his car. Tomorrow or the next life we never know which comes first.
