TEA BAGGING ON TAX DAY

Tax day came and went and there are still idiots out there who believe the tea bagging protests were a spontaneous outpouring of populism raging against not just big government but big government that taxes and spends too much of “our” money.

If you really think it had anything to do with taxes check out this from Pensacola Jeff’s appearance at one such rally in Florida. The local yokel was fulminating on his radio show about how many more people watch FOX News that Orwellian “fair and balanced” propaganda organ for the Republican agenda during his attack against the other lesser watched networks that actually reported on the herd mentality in action rather than promoted, supported, attended and spoke at these gatherings of anti-Obama racists.

I mean really it wasn’t about taxes at all. The signs of the times tell it all: “Obama’s Plan/White Slavery”, “01/20/13 – Obama’s Last Day”, “Real Americans Only Bow Before God”, “Impeach Osama Obama”, “No Socialism”, “I Want My Children to be Born in the USA not the USSA”, “220 years to build a republic only a month to destroy it”, and “RIP USA 7/4/76-1/20/09”.

The know nothing true believers in the white people only party and their offspring carried these messages of intolerance, ignorance and hate forgetting that it was Reagan who cut the taxes of the wealthy and not the taxes of middle-class Americans, it was Bush I who bailed out the Savings and Loan banks costing billions to the tax payers, it was the Republican Party’s “Contract with America” that the permitted free market greed of capitalism to go unregulated, it was the Republican Party of Big Business that let corporations find the tax shelters outside the continental U.S. leaving the rest of us to pick up the tab and it was Bush II who continued the tax cuts to the wealthy leaving the global economy in a state of collapse.

Now the Party of No is concerned about the federal deficit? How disingenuous to forget that their former Vice-President said that “deficits don’t matter”. Even the simple minded Republican governor of Texas, Rick Perry threatened that Texas would secede and Tom Delay explained why that would happen while the press has yet to explain why Tom Delay isn’t behind bars.
How ironic that the last time secession was attempted ownership of blacks as slaves was one of the concerns expressed by the southern states and over one hundred forty years later we have a black president now the south wants to secede again.

Last time over 600,000 Americans were killed by each other to keep the union this time. This time let the south go. The southern states are still locked in the 19th century mentality and have been nothing but a drag on the political progress of this republic. They’ve offered nothing but bible thumping, gun toting, anti-union/anti-worker sentiment, race bating, football playing, car racing and an insatiable desire for the inbreeding of ignorance. Let the south go to hell with their guns, their bibles and their footballs but first let’s get the billions back they received in bail out money then let ‘em tea bag each other.
